Andrew Rogers, Head Drum Major Instructor
Camp information for Drum Majors…

Andrew Rogers is a former Blue Devil trumpet player and Drum Major. He is a Leadership Instructor and Visual Technician at L.D. Bell H.S. in Hurst, TX. Currently, he is on the Management Team for the Blue Devils and serving as a System Blue clinician. He judges Drum Major auditions and teaches Leadership and Drum Major camps throughout the United States.

JP Wilson, Assistant Drum Major Instructor

JP Wilson is the Associate Director of Bands for Hebron High School in Carrollton, Texas. Mr. Wilson is a Carrollton native and graduated from Creekview HS.  He went on to graduate from Texas Christian University with a BM in Music Education and was a member of the trumpet studio under Dr. Jon Burgess.  While at TCU he performed with the Symphonic Band, Wind Symphony, Basketball band, and Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Brian Youngblood, Bobby Francis, and Curt Wilson.  JP was also a two-year Drum Major for the Horned Frog Marching Band.  He has performed at Texas Motor Speedway, the International Trumpet Guild, and for the American Bandmasters Association.  He comes to Hebron from Legacy HS in Mansfield, TX.

JP is an active leadership clinician.  He has taught the Drum Major camp at Idaho St. University, leadership camp and currently the Drum Major camp at the University of Texas at Arlington and the Drum Major/Leadership camp at Texas Christian University.  His professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association, the Texas Bandmasters Association, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.  JP currently resides in Dallas, TX with his 4 year old Border Collie/Black Lab mix, Jaxon.

Raquel Arce, Head Color Guard Instructor
Camp information for Color Guard…

Raquel grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and was a member of the Blue Devils organization since 1998. She marched the Blue Devils "C" Corps, "A" Winter Guard, "B" Corps, Open Winter Guard, "A" Corps, as well as the San Jose Raiders. She has taught color guard programs in Northern California, Southern California, and Florida.  Raquel has presented System Blue clinics both nationally and internationally since 2011. She received her Bachelor's degree in Health Science from the University of Central Florida in 2013, and is currently attending the University of Southern California in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program.

Ashley Tran, Assistant Color Guard Instructor

Ashley Tran is from the DFW area and has been involved with many different marching arts organizations both as a technician, choreographer, and performer. She performed with the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps from 2009-2010, the Blue Devils from 2011-2012, and Ars Nova Winterguard from 2010-2011. As a choreographer and technician she has worked with several schools including Grapevine HS, Trinity HS, Highlands HS, and Flower Mound HS. On the independent level she has been with CGT Fort Worth since their debut in 2016. She is a graduate from Texas Woman's University with a degree in Dance Education and currently teaches dance at Franklin Middle School in Dallas, TX. 

DRUM LINE

Nick Arce, Head Drum Line Instructor
Camp information for Drum Line…

Nick began his percussion career in La Quinta, California.  He marched various percussion ensembles, most notably Riverside Community College and The Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps.  He has been teaching in the Coachella Valley since 2009.  He is currently involved with Arcadia High School, RCC, and The Blue Devils A Corps.  Nick has taught System Blue Clinics nationally and internationally since 2013.  He is currently working on a Bachelor's degree in Psychology at California State University Los Angeles.
